If you like C# at all then you know that Jon Skeet (writings, blog, StackOverflow) is the man when it comes to this language.  Just look at his StackOverflow flair!!!  He is the top dude by a long shot in C# and has been for a long time.

Hey all!  I have been putting off starting up this users group for more than a year now.  I figure what better time to get it off the ground than in the first month of such a neat year as 2010.

I think that for the most part this will be a user group like any other.  The one big exception is that you will not ever be required to drive anywhere to attend it!  Also, we are not location affiliated so as long as you can make the time…the bigger the group the better.

We will be using LiveMeeting (license provided by ineta – thanks) which should allow us to all call in and chat.  I am also going to attempt to record each session and transcribe them so that they will benefit more than just the real time attendees.

I am thinking that our initial topics will be focused around the up-coming .net 4.0 release.  I will probably specifically focus on something like ASP.NET MVC 2 or similar (or one of the other topics for my next book with O’Reilly).

Then of course there are all the cool projects that surround the alt.net movement such as Turbine, Spark View Engine, etc. which we can also get started with.

I am all ears with this project and would love any help anyone is willing to contribute.  We will need attendees, presenters, etc.  If you are interested in helping out please feel free to contact me directly at asiemer@hotmail.com.

Thanks!
